Effortless Style guide for this wedding season!

It is the wedding season again! In the last two years, especially post pandemic, we have seen a huge shift in the way people shop for weddings. The pressure to look a certain way has completely disappeared. People seem to be looking more inward, to figure out what suits them, the kind of clothes they are comfortable with etc..in a way finding their own style, their own voice! Effortless effort seems to be the mantra of this season. ‘The Saree’ seems to fit this quite well. One of our clients recently picked a soft silk saree (as opposed to a traditional kanjivaram or banarasi) for her sister’s wedding and paired it with a cotton blouse and antique silver jewellery from our site. When we asked her about it she said “I love the way soft silk feels on me. It’s easy to drape, and I feel good in it. It’s effortless!”

Having spent so much of our time with our clients from different parts of the world, we put together this style guide for this season. We really hope this helps you!

Find the One – Your blouse matters:

No matter what kind of saree you choose, it is extremely important your select the right blouse to go with the sari. Embroidered blouses seem to be the trend this season, with stylish necklines and slightly longer sleeves. Most people have been pairing these blouses with traditional sarees. The contemporary sarees are being paired with funky blouses. We recommend you experiment with crop tops, jacket blouses, printed blouses etc.

Drape it your way:

As we all know, saree draping is an art. There are so many ways to drape a saree. Spend time exploring drapes that is already out there. There are many influencers who have combined 2-3 different styles to come up with one. Draping a sari can seem intimidating but once you get the hang of it, you can have so much fun. The same saree can be made to look completely different by changing the way you drape it.

Accessorize it right :

Gone are the days of going to the locker to take out the gold!

The market is being flooded with incredible designs, all handmade, at unbelievable prices.

Subtle yet elegant seems to be the taste in jewellery this season. Pick the key pieces that go well with your outfit like statement earrings or a necklace.

Heels to canvas:

We have seen our clients wear heels, canvas shoes, flipflops and even juttis with their saree.

When it comes to shoes, the perfect fit is always the ones that you can dance with at ease.

Barring shoes, we have curated brands that we feel reflects all the different tastes this season. We also have an incredible team of stylists and designers who would be happy to meet and guide you.
